Badan Koordinasi Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) menjalin kerjasama dengan Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Majene dalam rangka menyusun Policy Brief untuk mengurangi angka stunting di Majene yang berlangsung di Gedung Rektorat Lt. II STAIN Majene pada Jumat, (21/07/2023).
Acara ini dihadiri oleh berbagai pihak, antara lain Wakil Ketua III Bidang Kerjasama dan Kemahasiswaan STAIN Majene, Anwar Sadat, Kepala Dinas Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Kabupaten Majene, Hasnawati, Satgas Stunting provinsi Sulawesi Barat, Kepala Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa (PMD), Kepala Desa Soreang, serta segenap civitas academica STAIN Majene.
Kegiatan ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Waka III STAIN Majene, Anwar Sadat selaku Pelaksana Harian. Dalam sambutannya, Anwar menyampaikan bahwa STAIN Majene menyambut baik kerja sama ini karena menegaskan pentingnya peran stakeholder dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di STAIN Majene, sejalan dengan prinsip tridarma perguruan tinggi, terutama pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
Selain itu, Anwar juga menekankan pentingnya pencegahan stunting sejak dini dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas kesehatan yang telah disediakan oleh Pemerintah Daerah, seperti posyandu dan puskesmas.
Tim BKKBN Provinsi Sulbar, Nasrullah, dalam kegiatan ini menyampaikan bahwa tujuan diadakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi kebijakan bagi Pemerintah Daerah Majene dalam strategi penurunan angka stunting di wilayah tersebut.
Selanjutnya, dalam kegiatan ini juga terdapat sesi diskusi terkait penyusunan Policy Brief penurunan angka stunting di Majene. Dalam hal ini, salah satu dosen STAIN Majene, Bulqiah Mas’ud, menjadi Tim Penyusun Policy Brief tersebut.
Dalam diskusi penyusunan Policy Brief tersebut, beberapa rekomendasi kebijakan disampaikan oleh para peserta terkait upaya yang dilakukan untuk menurunkan angka stunting dengan mempelajari salah satu desa di Majene, yaitu Desa Palipi Soreang, yang berhasil mengatasi masalah stunting.
Lebih lanjut, Pelaksana Harian Ketua, Anwar Sadat, menyampaikan harapannya setelah kerja sama penyusunan Policy Brief antara BKKBN dan STAIN Majene ini.
“Kedepannya, saya harap STAIN Majene bisa lebih mengembangkan kerja sama dengan lembaga lain agar kiprah STAIN Majene semakin dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat,” harapnya.
