Majene-Lima Sidik, Prodi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam (KPI) STAIN Majene, mengutus Dua orang mahasiswa untuk mengikuti training journalist dan book coaching dengan tema “Regenerasi Jurnalis Islami, Berkualitas dan Berbudaya” di Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Parepare.
Kegiatan berlangsung selama dua hari, 22 s.d. 23 Juni 2023 yang di ikuti oleh mahasiswa Prodi KPI dari empat perguruan tinggi, yakni IAIN Palopo, IAIN Bone, STAIN Majene, dan IAIN Parepare.
Training Journalist dan Book Coaching datangkan pemateri yang kompeten di bidangnya seperti Nining Angreani, Jurnalis Tribun Timur dengan materi “Menemukan Ide dan Poin of View dari Fenomena Sosial”. Iryanto, dosen film Binus dengan materi “Membingkai Fenomena Sosial (Videografi dan Fotografi)”. Faizal Oddang, penulis internasional dengan materi “Teknik Menulis Esai dan Buku Antologi”. Muhammad Nur, ketua PWI Pinrang dengan materi “Teknik Reportase”.
Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Prodi Jurnalistik Islam (JI) IAIN Parepare tersebut dihadiri sejumlah civitas akademika IAIN Parepare yakni Kaprodi (JI), Nahrul Hayat, M.I.Kom. Wakil dekan (II) IAIN Pare-pare, Dr. Nurhikmah, Wakil dekan (I) FUAD IAIN Pare-pare, Dr. Iskandar, Dekan FUAD IAIN Parepare, Dr. A. Nurkidam, serta Wakil Rektor II bidang administrasi umum, perencanaan dan keuangan IAIN Parepare, Dr. Firman, sekaligus membuka acara secara resmi.
Wakil rektor II IAIN Parepare, Firman dalam sambutannya sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan tersebut karna menurutnya sangat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa.
